Yesterday's Antiques was established in 1976 by Alan
Brown, an avid enthusiast for spotting, owning and collecting Victorian-American
Furniture.
Our first store which was located on Lancaster Avenue in Rosemont,
Pennsylvania, was filled with the Owner's exquisite finds such as Barrister
Bookcases, R.J. Horner pieces and other premium quality furniture.
Today, our retail location is further west on the Main Line at Two West
Lancaster Avenue in Paoli, Pennsylvania.
Among the inventory at Yesterday's Antiques, you will discover an
astoundingly large collection of outstanding pieces dating back to the
mid-1800s. One half of our selection is quartersawn Oak;the other is a diverse
pick of Walnut, Mahogany, and a full line of collectable lamps, decorative
accents, old stained glass windows and Oriental Rugs.
Reference books are scattered among the store so that buyers may research for
themselves the value of the pieces.
So many first-time customers remark: "It's like walking through a museum!"
These treasures were collected over nearly 30 years of travel on the Eastern
Coast, throughout the Mid-West and to almost every corner of the United States.
Our clientele appreciate the exclusivity, premium quality and legitimacy of
Makers such as R.J. Horner of Buffalo, NY; George Flint of NYC; and several
other great furniture makers including Grand Rapid, MI.
There are so many treasures at Yesterday's Antiques; your most difficult
decision will be where to showcase your new collection!
... And that's Alan's favorite part of his business--personally delivering
and setting-up your purchases!
